GETbots

GETbots is the robot fleet of GET Lab. Different tasks in the field of rescue robots are tackled with different platforms.

The GETbot, one of two P3-AT platform, is mainly used for autonomous operations. Besides others the GETbot is equipped with the following sensors:

  • Laserscanner Hokuyo UTM-30LX and URG-04LX
  • Xsens MTI inertial measurement unit
  • Thermal camera Photon 320
  • Video and 3D camera Xtion PRO LIVE

For tasks which require a high mobility, the GETjag, a platform based on the Jaguar V4, is used. Originally a teleoperated robot, GETjag now is able to perform a lot of tasks autonomously. The GETjag uses e.g. the following sensors:

  • Laserscanner Hokuyo URG-04LX
  • Various RGB cameras
  • CO2 sensor
  • Thermopile sensor

and is equipped with an articulated arm.

The flying robot, GETdrone, assists our rovers by detecting target locations from the air. The collaboration of ground and airborne systems allow to explore larger areas in less time.

  • Weight < 1 kg
  • Diameter < 1 m
  • Payload 200 g
  • Range 500 m
  • Color image camera with video transmitter
  • GPS, compass
  • Distance sensors
