On Thursday, Oct. 11., the project team The goal of this project team was to have mobile, autonomous robots and a so called wireless sensor grid cooperate. Labs were to be monitored: the sensors of the wireless sensor grid report suspicious movements in the labs and radio the mechanical watchperson (mobile robot in autonomous mode of operation). The robot is supplied with a stereo camerahead by which it can obtain a visual impression of the incidents and inform the human watchperson on duty if necessary. The project team will report on the results of its work. |
