Spatiotemporal Grouping of Coherent Regions for Object-based Attention

Zusammenfassung:

The focus of region-based attention is currently a single region of the segmentation. Typically, objects consist of more than one region and a shared motion pattern is cue that a set of regions belongs to one coherent object. In this work, the region-based attention approach will be extended so that coherently moving regions are grouped. The idea is to bring the model closer to human perception, where full objects rather than regions or fragments are associated with a motion. The model extension will be implemented in C++ in combination with ROS (framework for robot software development).
