Zusammenfassung:

Survivor search and detection modules of rescue robots require a high level of reliability and robustness. Human body can appear in so many situations and forms in a disaster site that ordinary image processing and machine vision algorithms cannot be directly applied. One of the solutions is the fusion of multiple cues using more than one sensors. The current method applied in GETbot integrates video and thermal camera inputs. A time efficient scanning strategy is designed for the pan-tilt camera head with a biologically inspired robust search mechanism to improve the performance of the overall system. The strategy has high detection rate and low false alarm rate. The presentation summarizes the active vision module of the rescue system GETbot.
