Information on the Midterm Exams
General Modalities
For the midterm exams please consider the following issues:
- There will be two midterm exams
- Written exam (30 minutes).
- Programming tasks in the Pool room (90 minutes).
- The participation in the exams is optional and not relevant for the final exam.
- A maximum of 25 points can be achieved in each exam.
- The results of the midterms do not influence the admittance to the final examination.
Required Identification
Please bring a photo ID (e.g. student ID) for identification.Permitted Aids
No own tools (scripts, books, form collections, mobile phones, smart watches, etc.) are allowed except pocket calculators. Programmable pocket calculators or those with plot function for displaying function graphs are also not allowed.Organization of the Midterm Exam II
- The exam will take 90 minutes
- The exam will take place from 11:00 a. m. to 12:30 p. m. in the Poolraum (P 7.2.02.1).
- During the exam, download the exam template (will be on-line at 11:00 a. m. ).
- Extract the exam template in your local folder.
- Inside the template, change the name of the (lastName-firstName) folder to your <lastName-firstName>. Please do not use any spaces and special characters and only use ASCII letters.
- The template contains four sub-folders and one text file,
- "src": source codes (src) of the programming tasks,
- "images:" samples of images to test your codes,
- "build": location for binaries,
- "docs": for adding text file for commenting on the results if needed, and
- "CMakeLists.txt" for compiling your codes.
- In the "src" folder, change the name of the (lastName-firstName.cpp) file to your (<lastName-firstName>.cpp).
- Write all codes in the same file.
- Change the (lastName-firstName) in the "CMakeLists.txt" file to your <lastName-firstName>.
- Compress the main folder and generate a zip archive (<last name-first name>.zip).
- Mail the zip-file to mohamed@get.uni-paderborn.de.
- Choose the following subject: "[DIP-I-midterm-1] <lastName-firstName>,<student id>".
Dates
The first midterm exam will be held at the beginning of the lecture at 11:00 a.m. on 23. November 2017 in room P 1.6.02.1 and will take 30 minutes.
After the exam, the lecture will be started in the same place. Please arrive on time, so that the exam can start on time at 11:00 clock.
