Abstract:

In this presentation, firstly the motivation for a condition monitoring and fault diagnosis module (CMFDM) for vehicles is introduced. Afterwards the framework of the vehicle control system will be briefly described. The main functions of CMFDM and its individual components interface will be shown. Current research focuses on the the building of a fault model based on fault tree analysis. Through steps of failure mode analysis, feature parameter configuration and basic event inference rule-making, the CMFDM core functions such as on-line condition monitoring, fault reasoning and historical data off-line analysis could already be achieved. By combining several cases, the realization of the CMFDM will be discussed, including the acquisition method of different types of parameters, basic event priority of qualitative analysis method, components integrated debugging methods and so on. Finally, the evaluation of the main performance of the CMFDM will be shown. The presentation will be concluded with the discussion of future research questions. One aim is on improving the diagnostic accuracy to enable the framework to deal with complex failure problem.
