On Tuesday, 18 July 2017, between 15:00 and 18:00 o'clock, an open lab afternoon in a relaxed atmosphere takes places at GET Lab from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. During all that time, particularly all students are invited to visit the lab of the working group in room P1.6.18 (level 6 of the P1 building).

There you can expect a broad range of exciting demonstrations by students from GET Lab who will provide insights into their current project works or theses. Visiting the lab can therefore also be helpful for an orientation with regard to own project works or theses. The central topic is the development of technical cognitive systems, such as autonomous mobile robots, for which the working group develops, for example, intelligent algorithms for inspection-, navigation- and mapping tasks. Recently, some of the students even participated at RoboCup! Furthermore, the scientific assistants from GET Lab can give you insights into current activities and further research questions addressed in the working group.

In addition, visiting the lab can be helpful for deciding about possible compulsory optional courses because typical contents from the courses of the study model cognitive systems are illustrated. You can also attend two talks giving you interesting insights into the functioning of technical cognitive systems as well as teaching and research in GET Lab. The talks are taking place at 15:00 and 17:00 o'clock in room P1.6.02.1 (next to the lab).

We are looking forward to your attendance and drinks are ample! Registration in advance is not required. Afterwards the faculty barbecue by the Faculty for Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics is visited.
