On 13 October 2016, the MINTernational Conference by the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft (Donors' Association for the Promotion of Humanities and Sciences in Germany) takes place in Berlin with the central question "How international should be the STEM fields?". For this conference, a workshop from GET Lab together with the Freiberg University of Mining and Technology with the following title will be hold (translated from orginal German title):

Virtual, Practical, International – Innovative Teaching-/Learning Formats for the International University

In the framework of the workshop, two practically oriented approaches of virtual teaching for the internationalization of university education in the STEM fields are presented. The focus of the approaches is to support and activate international students. For this purpose, an online learning platform using a wiki as well as a summer school with collaborative case study work are introduced. This is followed by an exchange of experience by the participants and a discussion about the conceptional advancement of the approaches.
