The commission for research and young scientific scholars of Paderborn University has granted Mr. Kazmi a scholarship for completion of his doctoral studies. In his dissertation, he is working on innovative, biologically inspired algorithms, which enable the robot to localize in unknown environments and concurrently build a map. The topic is generally referred to as SLAM - Simultaneous Localization and Mapping. |
